Menjangan Island –
Bali Barat National Park
Our most remote diving destination is Menjangan Island. This small coral island lies less than 15 km from the main island of Bali, in the unspoiled northwest corner.
Menjangan is a marine-protected area and has some of the most spectacular and biodiverse coral reefs and wall dives in Bali. There are at least six great dive sites around the island, most reachable by wooden boats equipped with an engine. The conditions are usually perfect for diving as the island is located in the calm waters of the Bali Sea, which is a part of the Pacific Ocean. Diving here is suitable for all levels of divers.
Due to the considerable distance of driving there (145km from Denpasar Airport), we organise overnight stays in Pemuteran or Lovina. It is worth combining the trip with e.g., visiting the central-western part of Bali (Jatiluwih, Bedugul).
