Candidasa Bay is located about 50 km north of Denpasar Airport. We reach there by car from our diving center. On the beach, you will find a charming Balinese restaurant called Topi Inn, where we can use the restroom and change into diving wetsuits. From there, we board a local boat known as “jukung,” which will take us to the northern end of Candidasa Bay. After approximately 30 minutes, we will arrive at the small rocky islets – Gili Mimpang and Gili Tepekong. These places are also known as Bali’s shark point because that’s where we can encounter reef sharks like the white tip and black tip reef sharks. We only take advanced divers to these locations due to the significant depth and the presence of often strong currents. From July to November, you can also have a chance to see the famous mola mola.
